Experience
-
2021–2025 PhD Researcher — Multimodal Perception & Group Emotion Recognition
Laboratoire d’Informatique de Grenoble (LIG), Grenoble, France - Developed multimodal models for group emotion recognition in the wild using privacy-preserving, non-individual representations at the group level.
- Designed a Variational Encoder–Multi-Decoder (VE-MD) multi-task framework with a shared latent space across emotion classification, body pose estimation, and facial landmark detection, improving robustness in real-world settings.
- Deployed a group-level emotion recognition model in a smart classroom using privacy-by-design principles based on non-identifying features and group-level aggregation, without identity tracking.
- Published peer-reviewed papers at ICMI 2023 and Interspeech 2024.
-
2021 Data Science Intern
Laboratory of Auscultation, Modeling and Experimentation of Transport Infrastructures (LAMES), Nantes, France - Predicted and evaluated road pavement failure modes from degradation signals and KPI relationships using machine learning models.
- Built data pipelines and performed image-based analysis to support model development and validation.
-
2020 Data Analyst Intern
INSAVALOR / PROVADEMSE, Lyon, France - Performed data analysis and statistical modeling to characterize household waste streams and derive operational insights.
